South Korea and China have recently launched new satellites to improve their space capabilities and orbital technology.

The Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA) has organized the launch of a 500-kilogram Earth observation satellite. This satellite will be carried by a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base. After all technical tests and fuel loading were completed, the satellite is expected to separate from the rocket about 142 minutes after liftoff. KASA emphasized that the use of its own imaging technology will allow the satellite to photograph the Korean Peninsula every three days. Consequently, this will help the government improve agricultural monitoring, disaster management, and climate analysis.

This mission used a modified Long March-6 rocket, marking the 655th flight in the Long March series. These satellites are part of the Spacesail Constellation, which is a commercial network in low-earth orbit. The fact that the satellites reached their planned orbit shows China's ongoing commitment to expanding its commercial satellite networks.
