Introduction
Indian diplomatic missions in Abu Dhabi and Dubai have launched a digital appointment system to manage consular services while they transition between service providers.

The current situation was caused by the end of the contract with the previous provider, BLS, and a delay in handing over operations to Alhind Tours & Travels LLC. As a result, the Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate in Dubai have managed essential services, such as passports, visas, and document attestation, directly since July 1.

To handle the large number of applicants during the busy summer travel season, the missions have moved from a walk-in system to a hybrid model. Applicants can now schedule appointments through an online portal, although limited walk-in access is still available from 09:00 to 11:00 for emergency cases. Furthermore, security has been increased; only applicants may enter, except for children who must be with their parents. Specific entry points have also been created for different services to improve the flow of people.
