In New South Wales, a dispute has arisen over an officer's use of force against a 21-year-old man at Cabramatta station. The NSW Police emphasized that the hits to the man's head were an 'approved manoeuvre,' which they claimed was necessary because the suspect refused to follow orders after being accused of threats and assaults with a knife. However, lawyers from the Redfern Legal Centre asserted that these actions were excessive. Consequently, the man was charged with ten offences, including assault.

This individual was arrested for impaired driving and suffered a fatal medical emergency after being removed from his car and placed in a police vehicle.
