Recent security operations in India and Pakistan have led to the deaths of several militants linked to the Lashkar-e-Taiba and Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan groups.

The individual, identified as Zakir Gania, was targeted after intelligence reports placed him and an associate, Latif, in the Meemandar area. The operation began on July 3 and required the use of the Victor Force to overcome the challenges posed by thick orchard trees. Furthermore, Shopian is considered a high priority for security forces because it serves as a key transit route between south Kashmir, central Kashmir, and the Pir Panjal region.

Meanwhile, in the Ziarat district of Pakistan's Balochistan province, an attack on a police post in the Mangi Dam area killed at least nine police officers. Following this, clearance operations were launched, and an aide to the Balochistan Chief Minister reported that fifteen militants from the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan were killed. Additionally, Deputy Commissioner Abdul Qudoos Achakzai stated that five police officers are still missing after the incident.
