After a legal challenge by director Honey Trehan, the film skipped theaters and premiered on ZEE5 on July 3, but it was removed just two days later.

Meanwhile, actor Suvinder Vicky reported that community-led screenings have started appearing across Punjab. Additionally, there has been public discussion regarding lead actor Diljit Dosanjh's citizenship, with reports suggesting he became a US citizen in 2022.
