Thai authorities are investigating the death of Connor Murphy, a 32-year-old American fitness content creator, who drowned on July 7.

The incident took place in Samut Prakan province, where Mr. Murphy had been living in a luxury villa for three months. According to reports from the Bangkok Post and Thairath, police were called after reports of his strange behavior. Witnesses stated that Mr. Murphy had an argument with security guards before swimming into a lake. Although he swam for several minutes, he eventually became exhausted and drowned. Divers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation later found his body about 20 meters from the shore.

After the incident, police examined the rental property and found severe damage. The walls and ceilings were covered in gray and yellow paint, and a black, tar-like substance was found on the kitchen appliances. Furthermore, the house was filled with trash and stained furniture. While Mr. Murphy's partner, Bee, claimed that the damage happened while they were asleep, the condition of the home suggests a period of mental instability.

This person also alleged that Mr. Murphy had bipolar disorder and was suffering from gold poisoning. However, these claims are not officially proven. Although police found two unused syringes and some unknown pills in his car and belongings, they have not yet linked these items to the claims made by the acquaintance.
