Introduction

Authorities have found the body of a construction manager, ending the search for missing workers after a landslide hit a tunnel project site in Wayanad on July 7.

Main Body

The body was recovered on Sunday around 11:30 am, about 350 metres downstream from the Meenachil bridge. The victim is believed to be Vikram Rana, a 58-year-old project manager from Himachal Pradesh who had been working on the Anakkampoyil-Meppadi tunnel project since February. This discovery brings the total number of deaths to eight.
