Modernizing Police Equipment and Technology in Uttar Pradesh

現代化北方邦警察裝備與技術

Introduction

The government of Uttar Pradesh has approved the purchase of advanced shooting systems and anti-drone technology to improve the readiness and skills of the police force.

北方邦政府已批准採購先進的射擊系統與反無人機技術,以提升警力的準備狀態與技能。

Main Body

The administration has approved the purchase of 17 Containerized Tubular Shooting Ranges (CTSRs), costing approximately ₹26.43 crore. These are 40-foot portable units that will be installed in 12 zonal headquarters and major cities, including Lucknow and Varanasi. The government emphasized that these facilities will provide realistic training for special units like SWAT. This is especially important for the Prayagraj police, who often manage large crowds and protect high-profile officials. Consequently, the police expect that these units will improve the accuracy and response time of their officers.

行政部門已批准採購 17 個貨櫃式管狀射擊場 (CTSRs),成本約 26.43 億盧比。這些是 40 呎的可攜式單元,將安裝在 12 個分區總部及主要城市,包括勒克瑙和瓦拉納西。政府強調,這些設施將為 SWAT 等特種單位提供實戰訓練。對於經常需要管理大量人群並保護高層官員的 Prayagraj 警方而言,這尤為重要。因此,警方預計這些單元將提高警員的準確度與反應時間。

Furthermore, the Home Department has allocated ₹2,19,65,200 to buy four anti-drone systems that can detect aerial threats. This project, approved in July 2026, aims to protect important dignitaries while they are traveling. The funds come from the 2026–27 security budget and must be used by March 31, 2027.

此外,內政部已撥款 21,965,200 盧比採購四套能偵測空中威脅的反無人機系統。該項目於 2026 年 7 月獲批,旨在保護重要顯貴在出行時的安全。資金來自 2026-27 年度安全預算,且必須在 2027 年 3 月 31 日前使用完畢。

Finally, both projects must follow strict government rules and guidelines from the MSME Department. The Police Headquarters is responsible for checking the technical details and ensuring the budget is spent correctly. The administration asserted that the police headquarters will be held accountable for any financial mistakes or audit problems in the future.

最後,兩項計畫均須遵守政府嚴格的規定以及微小型及中型企業部 (MSME Department) 的指南。警察總部負責核對技術細節並確保預算正確使用。行政部門聲明,若未來出現任何財務錯誤或審計問題,警察總部將被追究責任。

Conclusion

Uttar Pradesh is currently upgrading its security systems by introducing modular shooting ranges and drone defense technology to better protect the region.

北方邦目前正透過引入模組化射擊場與無人機防禦技術來升級其安全系統,以更好地保護該地區。

⚡ The 'Connective Leap': Moving Beyond 'And' and 'But'

At the A2 level, we often glue sentences together with simple words. To reach B2, you need Logical Signposts. These words tell the reader how two ideas are connected (Cause \rightarrow Effect, or Addition).

1. The Power Move: "Consequently"

  • A2 Style: The police have new ranges and they will be better.
  • B2 Style: "...these facilities will provide realistic training... Consequently, the police expect that these units will improve accuracy."
  • The Logic: Consequently means "as a result of this." Use it when the second sentence is a direct consequence of the first.

2. Expanding the Horizon: "Furthermore"

  • A2 Style: They bought ranges. Also, they bought anti-drone systems.
  • B2 Style: "Furthermore, the Home Department has allocated..."
  • The Logic: While also is fine, Furthermore signals a professional transition. It tells the reader, "I have finished one point, and now I am adding a second, equally important point."

🛠️ Vocabulary Upgrade: The 'Precision' Shift

Stop using "generic" verbs. B2 English is about specificity. Look at how this text replaces basic words:

A2 Word (Basic)B2 Word (Precise)Context from Text
SaidAssertedThe administration asserted...
GiveAllocate...has allocated ₹2,19,65,200...
Check/WatchDetect...systems that can detect aerial threats.

Coach's Tip: When you write, ask yourself: "Can I replace this common verb with a word that describes the EXACT action?" Instead of "giving money," the government "allocates" a budget. That is the difference between A2 and B2.
