Authorities in Toledo are investigating a shooting that took place near a local festival, which left several people injured.

The incident started at around 5:40 p.m. during the Old West End Festival, a cultural event held every two years featuring food markets, music, and tours. When the Toledo Police Department arrived, they found several people with gunshot wounds. These victims were quickly taken to local hospitals; however, the police have not yet confirmed the exact number of injured people or their current medical condition.

To manage the scene, officers closed Detroit Avenue near West Delaware Avenue to all traffic. Witnesses emphasized that they heard multiple shots and saw people running away from the area. Despite these reports, the identity and number of the attackers are still unknown. Consequently, the police have started a search for the suspects and are asking the public for information through Crime Stoppers to help solve the case.
