Retail businessman Touker Suleyman has officially announced that he is leaving the BBC business investment show, Dragons' Den.

Mr. Suleyman, 72, joined the show in 2015 and will have completed twelve series by the time his final episodes air later this year. The owner of Ghost and Hawes & Curtis explained that he believes the program needs to evolve and bring in new perspectives. During his time on the show, Mr. Suleyman invested more than £3 million in various companies, such as Tru Tension and BodyXCore, achieving significant success with children's brands like Little Hoppa.

Other investors and BBC officials have praised his contribution. Fellow Dragons Peter Jones and Tej Lalvani emphasized his ability to spot business potential and his skill as a mentor. Furthermore, Kalpna Patel-Knight, the BBC's head of entertainment commissioning, asserted that Mr. Suleyman was effective because he combined business intelligence with a friendly personality. While other Dragons like Deborah Meaden and Steven Bartlett will stay, the BBC has not yet named a replacement.
