The Singaporean government has ordered the removal of several social media posts targeting the Indian community in order to protect national social harmony.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) used the Online Criminal Harms Act (OCHA) to order YouTube, Facebook, and X to block 14 posts. These posts, which reportedly started on a Chinese platform in May, used images of Little India and religious events to spread false ideas about ethnic overcrowding. Furthermore, the content claimed that Singapore's multiracial system is fake and only exists to follow Western values, suggesting that stability actually depends on the Chinese majority.

內政部（MHA）運用《網路刑事傷害法》（OCHA），要求 YouTube、Facebook 及 X 封鎖 14 篇貼文。據報導，這些貼文於 5 月開始出現在一個中國平台，利用小印度區與宗教活動的圖片，散播關於種族過於擁擠的假訊息。此外，內容聲稱新加坡的多元種族制度是虛假的，僅是為了追隨西方價值觀，暗示穩定實際上依賴於華人佔多數的情況。

Government officials emphasized that these attacks came from outside the country. Second Minister for Home Affairs Edwin Tong stated that while the posts were likely created by individual foreign users rather than a government campaign, it is unacceptable for non-citizens to spread such narratives. The MHA described these posts as malicious attempts to create hatred toward the Indian community and migrant workers. Consequently, these actions may violate the Penal Code, which forbids promoting hatred between racial groups and can lead to fines or prison.

At the same time, Minister Josephine Teo warned that social harmony is fragile and requires constant effort to maintain. She argued that targeting one specific community could be the first step in trying to destabilize other ethnic groups. Therefore, the government is encouraging the public to be more careful about where their online information comes from and to strengthen community bonds through local activities.
