Copenhagen recently hosted the fourth annual Mullet Championship, an event created to celebrate and compete in the art of the mullet hairstyle.

Ultimately, Thomas Berg won the top prize after a performance involving a trampoline and neon clothing.

Furthermore, i-D magazine reported a comeback in 2020 when salons closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Agren asserted that this shows how fashion trends move in cycles, mentioning similar events like the European Mullet Cup in Belgium.
