The National Health Security Office (NHSO) has started providing gender-affirming hormone therapy as part of the country's universal healthcare system.

This includes mandatory mental health counseling, blood tests to check hormone levels, and regular monitoring of liver and kidney functions.

He emphasized that the healthcare system already faces serious resource shortages, such as the closure of local clinics, a lack of cancer medications, and long waiting lists for dialysis. While he agrees that transgender people should have access to healthcare, he argued that the government must carefully analyze costs to ensure that new services do not cause existing critical care to decline.
