Main Body

Regarding regional exams, the Karnataka Examinations Authority released the KCET 2026 results on June 2. Srajan BS, a student from Deeksha Vedantu, achieved the second rank with a score of 177/180. He emphasized that his success was due to a structured revision plan and the use of previous exam papers. Meanwhile, the State Common Entrance Test Cell in Maharashtra announced the MHT CET 2026 results for the PCB group on June 9, after the exams were held from April 21 to April 26.

In secondary education, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not yet released the results for the first second-board exam for Class 10, which ended on May 21. In contrast, the Maharashtra State Board has already issued hall tickets for supplementary exams. These sessions for Class 10 will run from June 16 to June 30, while the Class 12 exams will take place from June 16 to July 8.

Finally, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) stated that the results for the Civil Services preliminary exam, held on May 24, are still pending. Furthermore, the Commission has introduced a temporary rule for the NDA & NA Exam-II, allowing Class 12 students who have not yet received their official certificates to apply. This registration period ends on June 9 and aims to fill 394 positions.

Conclusion

Vocabulary Learning

🚀 Moving Beyond 'And' and 'But'

To move from A2 (Basic) to B2 (Upper Intermediate), you need to stop connecting sentences with simple words. Look at how this text uses Logical Connectors to create a professional flow. Instead of saying "and," the author uses words that show a specific relationship between two ideas.

🛠 The "Contrast" Tool

In A2, you say: "The CBSE results are not out, but the Maharashtra board is ready."

In B2, we use In contrast.

"...the CBSE has not yet released the results... In contrast, the Maharashtra State Board has already issued hall tickets."

Why it works: It signals to the reader that you are comparing two different situations. It makes your writing sound academic and organized.

🛠 The "Addition" Tool

In A2, you say: "The UPSC results are pending and there is a new rule."

In B2, we use Furthermore.

*"...results... are still pending. Furthermore, the Commission has introduced a temporary rule..."

Why it works: It tells the reader: "I have finished one point, and now I am adding an even more important piece of information."

💡 Pro-Tip: The "Regarding" Pivot

Notice how the text starts a paragraph with "Regarding regional exams...".

Instead of saying "I want to talk about regional exams," use Regarding [Topic]. This is a "pivot" word. It allows you to switch the subject of your conversation instantly and smoothly.

Example Transition:

  • A2: Let's talk about the weather. It is raining.
  • B2: Regarding the weather, it is currently raining.
