Introduction

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is preparing to hold the NEET-UG re-examination on June 21. This decision follows the cancellation of the May 3 session because examination materials were leaked.

Main Body

The first exam was cancelled on May 12 after investigations showed that question papers had been shared with students as early as May 1. To prevent this from happening again, the Ministry of Home Affairs has ordered a strict security system. This plan involves using the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), who are experts in high-level protection. These forces will work with the Indian Air Force and state police to protect the papers as they travel from Hyderabad and Ahmedabad to 551 cities and 14 international centers. Consequently, security personnel will keep control of the materials from the start until they reach the banks and exam centers.

At the same time, the NTA has made several changes to how the exam is managed. The total time window has been increased to 195 minutes (from 14:00 to 17:15). This ensures that students have their full testing time, even after the necessary check-in and attendance procedures. Furthermore, the question booklet has been redesigned to include four rough-work pages. These pages are placed at both the beginning and the end of the booklet to make it easier for left-handed students to use.

Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is continuing its investigation into the original leak, which has already led to several arrests.

    • Coach's Tip: Furthermore is like a "plus sign" for your arguments. Use it when you have already given one reason and want to add a second, more important point.

  3. The Contrast Marker: "Meanwhile"

    • A2 style: The exam is happening and the CBI is investigating.
    • B2 style: "Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is continuing..."
    • Coach's Tip: Meanwhile is used for two different things happening at the same time in different places. It creates a "split-screen" effect in the reader's mind.
