However, experts suggest that the war in Ukraine has changed military needs; there is now a higher demand for cheap, mass-produced drones rather than expensive, high-tech jets. Consequently, European countries are now looking at alternative programs and partnering with Ukraine to learn about drone warfare.

Although General Alex Grynkewich asserted that Russia is not currently planning a conflict, some European leaders emphasize that the reduction of U.S. forces might make the region look vulnerable to Moscow.
