New Rules and Procedures for the NEET (UG) 2026 Re-Examination
Introduction
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started releasing the admit cards for the rescheduled National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2026, which will take place on June 21.
Main Body
The re-examination became necessary after the original test on May 3 was cancelled. This decision was made because the NTA confirmed that the exam materials had been leaked. Specifically, questions were shared via mobile phones before the test date, allegedly with the help of staff members involved in writing the exam.
To improve the experience for students, the NTA has introduced several changes. The total time for the exam has been increased by 15 minutes to allow for mandatory check-in and attendance procedures; consequently, the test will now last 195 minutes, from 14:00 to 17:15. Furthermore, the number of rough-work pages has been doubled to four. These pages are placed at both the beginning and the end of the booklet to better support left-handed candidates.
Along with the admit cards, the NTA has opened a window for students to correct their bank account details. This step was necessary because some candidates provided incorrect financial information, which would have prevented them from receiving refunds for the cancelled May session. Additionally, security has been strengthened by using a two-layer transport system involving the Air Force and CAPF escorts.
Conclusion
The NTA has completed all preparations for the June 21 exam, emphasizing stronger security and more practical arrangements for the candidates.

🚀 The 'Logic Connector' Shift
At an A2 level, you probably use and, but, and because for everything. To reach B2, you need to stop using simple links and start using Complex Connectors. These words act like bridges that show a sophisticated relationship between two ideas.
🔍 Analysis of the Text
Look at how the article connects ideas to sound professional and precise:
-
The Cause-Effect Bridge:
- A2 style: "The test was cancelled because the materials were leaked."
- B2 style (from text): "...consequently, the test will now last 195 minutes."
- Why it works: Consequently tells the reader that the second fact is a direct result of the first. It is more formal and stronger than 'so'.
-
The 'Adding-More' Bridge:
- A2 style: "Also, they gave more paper."
- B2 style (from text): "Furthermore, the number of rough-work pages has been doubled..."
- Why it works: Furthermore signals that you are adding a point that is equally important or more important than the previous one.
-
The 'Extra Detail' Bridge:
- A2 style: "And they added security."
- B2 style (from text): "Additionally, security has been strengthened..."
- Why it works: Additionally is a clean, academic way to introduce a new piece of information without sounding repetitive.
