Furthermore, earthquakes with magnitudes between 5.5 and 6.0 were recorded near the east coast of Honshu, Japan. 🧩 The 'B2' Pattern: Complex Sentences
Notice the structure here:

Instead of two short sentences, the author uses While to create a 'bridge'. This tells the reader: 'I am giving you the general situation (collecting data) AND a specific fact (eight injured) at the same time.'
