President Xi Jinping and President Min Aung Hlaing met in Beijing for an official state visit to improve their diplomatic and economic relationships.

習近平主席與敏昂弘總統在北京舉行正式國事訪問，以改善兩國的外交與經濟關係。

The visit began with a formal reception at the Great Hall of the People, followed by a private meeting. This is the second time the two leaders have met in a year, following the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit. To strengthen their ties, the two countries signed 18 cooperation agreements in areas such as public health, media, free trade, and logistics.

此次訪問始於人民大會堂的正式接待，隨後進行私人會晤。繼上海合作組織峰會後，這是兩位領袖在一年內第二次會面。為了強化關係，兩國在公共衛生、傳媒、自由貿易及物流等領域簽署了18項合作協議。

From a political perspective, Beijing remains a major international supporter of Min Aung Hlaing's government. President Xi emphasized that Myanmar needs to find a path to development that gains public support and protects its borders. This support continues even though Myanmar has faced internal instability and armed conflict since the change of power in 2021.

從政治角度來看，北京仍是敏昂弘政府的主要國際支持者。習主席強調，緬甸需要找到一條能獲得公眾支持並保護邊境的發展道路。儘管緬甸自2021年政權更迭後面臨內部不穩與武裝衝突，這種支持依然持續。

Economic interests are also very important, as China is Myanmar's largest trading partner, with trade reaching about $19.4 billion last year. Both leaders prioritized the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor, which is part of the Belt and Road Initiative. However, building infrastructure like ports and pipelines is difficult because some projects are located in conflict zones. Furthermore, the leaders discussed the need for joint operations to stop online fraud, illegal gambling, and drug trafficking.

The visit ended with a stronger commitment to strategic cooperation and a shared goal of bringing stability to northern Myanmar.
