A twenty-five-year-old man from Uttarakhand was killed by a lion near Kovaya village in the Rajula forest range.

The incident happened at night while the victim was traveling home from his job at a local restaurant. Local residents found the man's remains on Tuesday morning and immediately informed the authorities. After receiving the report at 6:00 AM, forest officials and guards inspected the area. Assistant Conservator of Forests Viralsinh Chavda stated that early evidence shows the death was caused by a lion attack. Consequently, the forest department has started operations to capture a group of four lions seen in the area to prevent further danger.

Because of this pattern, Rajula MLA Hira Solanki has officially asked the state forest department for more staff. Solanki emphasized that current staffing levels are too low compared to the growing lion population. He argued that increasing the number of forest guards is necessary to prevent future deaths.
