The National Weather Service has issued heat advisories for several areas in Oregon and Washington because temperatures are expected to rise significantly.

In Washington, the Seattle area is seeing a trend of higher-than-normal temperatures. While Sunday should reach 80 degrees, a heat advisory is in place for Monday and Tuesday as temperatures may approach a record high of 92 degrees. Furthermore, this weather pattern has increased the risk of wildfires in eastern Washington. These dry conditions are expected to continue until a cold front potentially arrives on June 26.

Consequently, local authorities in Salem and Eugene have opened public pools and water features, which will remain open until the Labor Day holiday.
