South Yorkshire Police have initiated a murder investigation following the death of a 30-year-old woman who sustained gunshot wounds outside a commercial establishment in Sheffield.

Law enforcement actions resulted in the detention of three suspects on suspicion of murder. A 30-year-old male was apprehended within Sheffield, while a second 30-year-old male and a 32-year-old female were intercepted in the vicinity of Stockport, Greater Manchester. All three individuals remain in custody.

These closures necessitated the diversion of public transport, specifically impacting Supertram services between Cathedral and Middlewood or Malin Bridge. Assistant Chief Constable Colin McFarlane has requested that witnesses provide testimony via official channels or Crimestoppers to assist in the evidentiary reconstruction of the event.
