She advocated for a hierarchy of 'rethink, reduce, reuse, and recycle,' emphasizing that the prevention of waste generation is paramount.

She noted that the implementation of audited account disclosures coincided with an increase in the city's recycling rate from 16% to 56%. Furthermore, she identified educational institutions as critical vectors for behavioral modification and proposed a 'four Ps' collaborative model—comprising public, private, people, and partnership—to distribute responsibility and innovation across the value chain. The utility of this model was illustrated by the recovery of 11 tons of food at Ramadan bazaars, which resulted in the mitigation of 21 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
