Mr. Justice Tony Hunt noted that the accused possesses an acquired brain injury, stemming from a 2021 benign brain tumor resection and a subsequent head injury sustained during the November 2023 incident. These measures encompass the provision of linguistic mediation, the implementation of abbreviated court sessions to mitigate attention deficits, and the allowance of frequent intervals for legal consultation. Despite these cognitive impairments, the judiciary has ruled that the defendant is fit to stand trial.
