A state coroner has determined that the premature discharge of Rosemarie Campbell from the Wesley Hospital following gastric bypass surgery likely resulted in her death.

While nursing staff consulted Dr. Reza Adib regarding the nausea, the coroner noted that critical vital sign data were omitted, and Dr. Adib failed to interrogate the volume of emesis, which exceeded normal post-operative expectations.

This action was characterized by the coroner as an egregious breach of professional responsibility. Furthermore, the coroner asserted that Dr. Adib engaged in substantial exaggeration concerning the quality of pre-operative care to mislead the court, thereby undermining his professional credibility and the reliability of his clinical records.
