Bernadin Dedic has been found guilty of multiple sexual offenses in a trial conducted in his absence after an administrative error facilitated his departure from the United Kingdom.

While Eurostar stated that it does not possess access to criminal records or conduct border checks, the release precipitated a total cessation of the defendant's physical presence during the legal process.

Judge Hannah Duncan expressed skepticism regarding these claims, noting that medical evaluations indicated a normal heart rate and prompt discharge. Consequently, the trial proceeded at Isleworth Crown Court without the defendant's presence, resulting in a jury conviction on all nine counts.
