Authorities in Cambridgeshire are investigating an incident in which a three-year-old male was placed into a crocodile enclosure at a licensed zoological facility.

The victim was subsequently transported via air ambulance to Addenbrooke's Hospital, where his condition has been characterized as critical but stable.

It has been noted that the suspect possesses learning disabilities and was visiting the site under the supervision of carers at the time of the event. There is no evidence to suggest a prior relationship between the suspect and the victim.
