🧩 The 'Logical Glue' (Connectors)
B2 fluency is not about long words; it is about how you connect ideas. In the text, we see Connectors of Result and Addition. Instead of using "and" or "so" every time, try these:
- Consequently (Use this instead of "so" when a result is inevitable). Example: "Rai and trustee Anil Mishra have resigned." Consequently, the leadership changed.
- Furthermore (Use this instead of "also" to add a stronger point). Example: "Furthermore, there are claims that some land was purchased at unfairly high prices."
🛠️ Grammar Shift: The Passive Voice for Objectivity
In A2, we focus on who did the action. In B2 professional English, the action is more important than the person.
A2 Style: "The NIA charged 11 members..." B2 Style: "The University of Mumbai is being investigated..."
Notice how "is being investigated" doesn't tell us who is doing the investigating. It focuses on the University. This is the 'Academic Tone' required for B2.
